The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (CI) fell to a low of 894 points before regaining some ground to close at 898 yesterday, down 8.89 points from Monday, as foreign funds trimmed their holdings of heavyweight stocks.
“There was no fundamental change,” commented Avenue Securities head of research Noor Azwa Mohd Noor. “The market was lower on program-selling by some hedge funds. They may be seeking higher returns elsewhere.”
