CIMB net profit for 2004 reaches record of RM289.7mil

CIMB Bhd, the investment banking arm of the Commerce Asset-Holding Bhd group, announced a net profit of RM289.7mil, or 33.9 sen a share, for its financial year ended Dec 31, 2004, an increase of 11% from RM260.6mil, or 30.6 sen a share, in 2003. 

Revenue rose 13.6% to RM601.1mil and pre-tax profit improved by 9.7% to RM384.9mil.
