WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - The New Zealand dollar has climbed to its highest level since the country adopted a free-float exchange rate 20 years ago - and its highest level against the U.S. dollar in 22 years.
The Kiwi, as the New Zealand unit is known colloquially, hit a high of US$0.7280 in overnight trading Monday in London.
