JOHOR Port Bhd (JPort) handled a 6% rise in cargo to 28.2 million tonnes last year from 26.8 million tonnes in 2003, and the port is projecting a significant increase in cargo volume this year.
“Beginning this year, we are working hard to make the port the preferred southern gateway to Malaysia,'' corporate affairs director Dr Lim Meng Soon said in a statement.
