Thailand starts campaign to promote southern provinces

PHUKET: The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has aggressively embarked upon various tourism promotion campaigns to attract more tourists to its southern provinces on the Andaman Coast, particularly Phuket, which already shows signs of recovery from the recent tsunami tragedy. 

Sommas, TAT Director Malaysia and Brunei said: “We hope to increase the volume of the tourism market by embarking upon this strategy with the help of Malaysian journalists and tour operators.
