  • KFC HOLDINGS BHD is buying the remaining 15% in Integrated Poultry Industry Sdn Bhd that it does not already own from Lai Theng Khan Holdings Sdn Bhd for RM1mil cash. 

    Integrated Poultry, which is principally engaged in primary poultry processing, has a processing plant at Bukit Mertajam, Penang, with a capacity of processing 25,000 birds per day. 

    KFC said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia that Integrated Poultry represented a key component of the supply chain to its retail operations, in particular, for the northern region.  

    “The proposed acquisition represents a unique opportunity for KFC to own the entire equity interest in Integrated Poultry, thus reaffirming its vital role in the supply management chain of the group retail businesses for the northern region,” it said. – AFX-Asia 

  • G.A. BLUE INTERNATIONAL BHD said wholly-owned unit G.A. Blue Corp Sdn Bhd has agreed to buy the “UGP Underground Products” trade mark from American Mentality Inc for RM2.09mil cash. 

    In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, G.A. Blue said the acquisition would enable the group to spearhead its export business in the United States, Europe and other overseas markets. – AFX-Asia
