QUANTUM Supplies (M) Sdn Bhd has produced its first sugar-free Belgian Recipe Chocolates and Durian Chocolates.
The company claims to be the first in Asia to produce the sugar-free Belgian Recipe Chocolates, made with centre-filled praline and utilising European technology.
The company said in a statement the chocolates used Maltitol as a sweetener instead of sugar, thus reducing calories.
“This piece of news is a real treat for chocolate lovers who are diabetic. Maltitol does not raise blood glucose or insulin levels,” it said.
Meanwhile, Quantum's Durian Chocolates have a fresh durian taste and is now the top seller in gourmet shops and KL International Airport chocolate stores such as Choc Shop International.
