Daimler-Chrysler Malaysia Bhd (DCM) will move its local assembly operations to Pekan in as early as six months following the early termination of its contract with Cycle and Carriage Bintang Bhd (CCB), said president and chief executive officer Frank Steinleitner.
“We already had plans to move in stages to Pekan, but the schedule has now been brought forward,” he told StarBiz in a telephone interview yesterday, when asked to comment on the contract termination.
