BANK Simpanan Nasional (BSN) expects total deposits to grow to RM2bil by end-2005 from RM1.3bil a year ago on the back of its liabilities products such as Giro savings scheme, premium savings scheme and SEDAR (save-as-you-earn) scheme, said chief executive officer Tajuddin Atan.
The customer base for deposits currently stood at 6.2 million and expected to rise by half a million by the end of this year, he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur yesterday after signing an agreement with Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia (KUKUM) to provide RM2mil vehicle purchase loan at 4% interest.
