Boeing wins US$655m order from Hapag-Lloyd


TOULOUSE (France): Boeing Co., the world's second-biggest commercial airplane maker, beat larger competitor Airbus SAS for a 10-plane order worth US$655mil at list prices from TUI AG's Hapag-Lloyd Flug airline unit.  

Hapag-Lloyd plans to become an all-Boeing operator, replacing aging Airbus A310 models with 737-800 aircraft, Hanover, Germany-based TUI, Europe's largest tour operator, said in an e-mailed statement. The five A310s will be sold “soon,” the company said.
