RATAN Tata, who turned one of India's most storied and stodgy conglomerates into a global business player, was named Asia's Businessman of the Year by Forbes magazine.
In a statement, Forbes said that under the 67-year-old chairman, the Tata group had become a huge, family-controlled Indian conglomerate worth US$14.3bil.
