ECONOMISTS predict that Sunday's killer tsunamis, which wreaked havoc on several countries including Malaysia, will likely have only a short-term impact on the economy.
They said that tourism, the sector most badly hit by the disaster, would eventually rebound after the authorities sped up the restoration process in the most affected areas – Penang and Langkawi.
