THE Government is expected to announce tomorrow the much awaited National Motor Policy, which may contain a blueprint for the development of the local motor vehicle sector until at least 2008, when the Asean Free Trade Area (Afta) regime is expected to be fully implemented.
Observers and analysts said while the policy would set a clear direction for the industry, they do not expect major changes to the tax and duty structure introduced late last year, and thus would have little impact on prices of cars.
