TNB awards RM1.3bil contract

The re-development of the Tuanku Jaafar Power Station in Port Dickson into a 750-megawatt combined cycle dual fuel (gas/distillates) power plant will cost Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) about RM1.7bil. 

The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth RM1.3bil was awarded to a Japanese-led consortium yesterday. The remaining RM400mil is for supporting works such as cabling and transmission lines.
