SHARES of two of the largest semiconductor producers in the country - Unisem (M) Bhd and Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) - yesterday rose on expectation of a better outlook and stronger demand for chips in the fourth quarter of this year.
Unisem was up 20 sen or 3% to RM7.20 while MPI closed 30 sen higher at RM14.70. Another technology stock, AIC Corp Bhd, was unchanged at RM1.70 while Computer Systems Advisors Bhd shed 6 sen to close at RM2.79.
