THE Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) said the implementation of performance-linked wage system (PLWS) in the private sector has resulted in a dramatic increase in productivity.
“What companies needed was to be able to reward the staff based on the performance shown in undertaking the given tasks,” MEF president Jafar Carrim told a media briefing on the Salary & Fringe Benefit Surveys for Executives and Non-Executives 2004 in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
