  • The public portion of DIS TECHNOLOGY HOLDINGS BHD's (DIST) initial public offering has been over-subscribed 24.9 times.  

    About 23,000 applications for 129.8 million shares were received for the five million shares available for public subscription, Malaysian Issuing House said in a statement.  

    In addition, the placement agent has confirmed that the 33.9 million shares allocated for identified investors have been fully placed out. Besides this, four million shares were reserved for directors and employees of the DIST group. DIST had made a public issue of 42.9 million new shares in total at an issue price of 35 sen each. 

  • The public portion of FAST TRACK SOLUTION HOLDINGS BHD's offer of 32 million shares has been oversubscribed 40.25 times, MIDF Consultancy and Corporate Services Sdn Bhd said. The merchant banker said Fast Track, a provider of computer solutions for the manufacturing sector, is selling three million shares to the public under the planned initial public offer at 28 sen each. The shares will be listed on the Mesdaq market. 

    MIDF said it received a total of 16,972 applications for 123.7 million shares with a value of RM34.65mil from the Malaysian public.

  • Berjaya Land Bhd has appointed Datuk Amer Hamzah Ahmad its executive director. 

    Amer was chief executive officer of Malaysia Airport (Niaga) Sdn Bhd from 1994 to 1997, and chief operating officer of Mines Resort City from 1998 to 2001. 

    He is currently executive chairman of Quasar Carriage Sdn Bhd, director of Hyundai-Berjaya Sdn Bhd, chairman of INOKOM Corp Sdn Bhd and executive director of Hyundai-Berjaya Corp Bhd. – Bernama 

  • Pos Malaysia Bhd has announced a proposal to subscribe 24.8 million new Transmile Group Bhd shares, representing about 12.4% of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of Transmile for a RM6.25 per Transmile share. 

    Pos Malaysia and Services Holdings Bhd (PMSH) has also proposed to subscribe 15.68 million new Transmile shares representing some 7.9% of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of Transmile for a RM6.25 per Transmile share. – Bernama 

     

  • AIRASIA Bhd said its 49%-owned unit PT AWAir International has started its first flight between Jakarta and Medan.  

    AirAsia said AWAir will initially operate a once daily service to Medan from its hub at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta.  

    A second flight to Medan from Jakarta has been proposed from Dec 17. A once daily service between Jakarta and Balikpapan will take off from Dec 17, it added. 

    AirAsia said AWAir has been re-launched as a low-cost carrier, modelled after AirAsia's operations .– AFX-Asia
