Thong Guan - from coffee distributor to largest film maker

IN 1942, a young man with just 50 dollars as capital began a tea and coffee distribution business in Sungai Lalang near Sungai Petani. 

The late Ang Thong Guan, who was then in his mid-30s, later expanded the operations into a family-oriented business and trading company - Syarikat Thong Guan Trading Sdn Bhd - which packaged and distributed tea and coffee under the 888 brand.
