TOKYO (AP) - Japan's trade surplus expanded 8.8 percent in October, helped by steady demand for Japanese products in Asian markets, the government said Thursday.
The merchandise trade surplus - the measure of all goods exported minus those imported - grew to 1.164 trillion yen (US$11.31 billion; euro 8.58 billion), from the same month a year ago, the Finance Ministry said.
