Everrise spreading wings to Sabah by year-end

SARAWAK'S largest department store, Everrise, under the Everrise group of companies is expanding to Sabah by the end of this year.  

Group executive chairman Simon Sia Kwang Huat said Everrise had been offered to take up 124,000 sq ft of retail space at the largest shopping complex in Kota Kinabalu. 

“We have entered into an agreement with Asia City to become the anchor tenant. The complex opposite Kampung Air is believed to be another major landmark in Kota Kinabalu ,” he told reporters after signing an agreement with Lee Ling Heights to confirm the setting up of its 16th outlet at Lee Ling Heights on Penrissen Road. 

Under the agreement, Everrise will rent 10 three-storey shophouses, which will be operational by December next year.  

Everrise operates 14 outlets, six in Kuching, the rest in Kota Samarahan, Serian, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu, Bintulu and Miri.  

The 15th outlet is at Betong targeting for opening by the middle of next year. 

Currently, Everrise employs 1,500 workers, with an annual turnover of RM210mil. – Bernama
