LONDON: Waterford Wedgwood Plc, the largest maker of crystal in the United States, said sales last month plunged 10% amid waning demand for products such as US$40 Christmas tree ornaments. The Irish company's shares dropped 9.2%.
Dublin-based Waterford said business “remains difficult''. On a conference call with reporters, chief executive officer Redmond O'Donoghue said competition from manufacturers in China was eroding revenue and earnings. – Bloomberg
