The Chinese saying “salted fish coming back to life” may well describe Telshine Sdn Bhd’s discounted telephony business. That which was once a dying concern is now alive; and brimming with good growth potential.

Telshine is confident that its international roaming service for mobile phone users, iRoam, will be a hit. With the addition of iRoam to its product line, its discounted call business was expected to grow rapidly and to account for 70% to 80% of group revenue within the next two years, compared with about 10% before, managing director William Phua said.
