Thai state media IPO 13 times covered

BANGKOK: A rush of small investor share applications saw the first day of an initial public offering (IPO) by Thailand's state media firm MCOT oversubscribed by almost 13 times. 

Retail investors applied for 626.5 million shares on Thursday, almost 13 times more than the 48.4 million shares MCOT offered to the public through 600 branches of Krung Thai Bank, company officials said yesterday.
