TOKYO: Japan's largest tyre maker, Bridgestone Corp, reported nine months to September net profit of 80.5 billion yen, a level equivalent to 77.4% of the company's full-year profit forecast, led by the strong performance of its US and Europe operations.

No comparative data were given because the company only started to compile quarterly results from this year. For the nine months, Bridgestone posted current profit of 128.8 billion yen, operating profit of 138.3 billion, and revenue of 1.76 trillion. – AFX-Asia
