AFFIN Bank Bhd aims to strengthen its Islamic banking operations following Bank Negara's decision to award the last two Islamic banking licences to foreign banks recently, said chief executive officer Datuk Abdul Hamidy Abdul Hafiz.
“We cannot disclose our strategy for the time being. However, we are always looking for new ideas, including partnerships, to compete in the sector,” he told reporters after a zakat contribution ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
