DUBAI: Bank deposits in Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil producer, rose to their highest in almost six years in August as government departments, private businesses and individuals placed more money with their lenders.
Deposits with the country's 10 commercial banks rose to almost US$106bil, an increase of more than 15% compared with Aug 31 last year, figures from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency showed.
