BUDGET airline AirASia Bhd, which currently operates in Malaysia and Thailand, expects to set up its first base in Indonesia by early next year, its chairman Datuk Pahamin Ab Rajab said.
He said the company had signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement for the acquisition of a 49% stake in PT AWAir of Indonesia for that purpose.
