Sime unit buys remaining 30% stake in SSE for RM65mil

Sime Darby Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary Pesida Equipment Sdn Bhd has entered into a share purchase agreement (SPA) with SembCorp Utilities Pte Ltd (SCU) yesterday to acquire the balance 30% equity in Sime SembCorp Engineering Sdn Bhd (SSE) for RM65mil. 

Primarily engaged in the fabrication of onshore and offshore platforms for the oil and gas-related industries, SSE is a 70%-owned subsidiary of Sime Engineering Services Bhd (SESB), which in turn is 70%-owned by Sime Darby.
