Maxis Communications Bhd, Malaysia's largest provider of cell-phone services, said that expansion of its network may allow it to achieve faster subscriber growth than previously forecast.
Maxis, whose network covers 82% of the country's 23 million population, aims to increase its coverage to 92% by next year, chief executive Jamaludin Ibrahim said in an interview. The company has typically expanded coverage by 3% of the population annually.
