LONDON: Mexico's Cemex, the world's third-largest cement maker, has agreed to buy Britain's RMC Group for around £2.3bil (US$4.15bil) in cash, the companies said yesterday.
RMC, the world's largest ready-mixed concrete maker, said Cemex would pay the British firm's shareholders 855 pence per share – a 43% premium to its closing price of 599p last week.
