JAKARTA: Bank Niaga, in which Malaysia's Commerce Asset-Holding Bhd (CAHB) has a majority stake, yesterday launched its syariah operation to tap the vast Islamic-based banking potential in the country.
CAHB director Dr Rozali Mohamed Ali said at the launching that the syariah operations would be carried out in five of Bank Niaga branches in Jakarta this year before expanding to its other branches in several cities throughout the country.
