Protecting IP assets vital for R&D

THE Government should continue its focus on enhancing research and development (R&D) and actively promote the awareness and protection of Intellectual Property (IP) rights to maintain exclusivity and to safeguard the nation’s IP assets. 

Protecting IP assets was crucial to fully realise the potential of Malaysia's R&D investments and efforts, said Chuah Jern Ern, executive director of Advanz Fidelis Sdn Bhd, which provides consultancy services for IP protection, monitoring and management.
