NEW DELHI: Shares of Indian automobile companies rose on optimism the government won't raise fuel prices soon, which may encourage consumers to buy new vehicles.
India's Oil Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said the government may consider a cut in motor fuel prices. State-owned oil companies revise fuel prices every two weeks.
