ASIAN countries may want to look at alternatives other than a single currency for the region to remain competitive, said former European Central Bank president Dr Willem F. Duisenberg.
He said the introduction of a single Asian currency like the Euro would be difficult to implement in Asian countries because of their economic, political, geographical and cultural differences.
