PowerPlus sees strong IPO prospects

SINGAPORE: Zhongguo PowerPlus Industries Ltd, an agricultural equipment manufacturer set to start trading on the local exchange's main board on Friday, said it is confident it will outperform other recent listings given the company's robust growth potential this year. 

PowerPlus reported its 2003 net profit surged to 40.2mil yuan from 2.8mil in 2002 as revenue swelled to 195.6mil yuan from 26.6mil, and the company expects to sustain good results over the next few years, with net profit in 2004 seen beating that of 2003 on an expected tax exemption, and revenue seen up 40%.
