Going cheap, but no takers

A 1½-STOREY freehold terrace factory in Bukit Sentosa 3, Rawang, was recently offered at a reserved price of only RM42,364.44 at an auction in Kuala Lumpur, but there were no takers!

This is about 80% below the original developer's price of RM199,800 in March 1997. If one were to compound the interest on the holding cost, the 25ft x 80ft building with a 2,000-sq ft built-up area should be worth at least RM300,000 by now. At one glance one can see that the value of the property has plummeted by 86%!
