MANILA, Philippines (AP) - Philippine shares closed higher Thursday, boosted by gains in Ayala Corp.-linked stocks, traders said.
The benchmark 30-company Philippine Stock Exchange Index ended up 13.25 points, or 0.9 percent, at 1,561.33, adding to Wednesday's 0.4 percent rise.
