TOKYO: Japanese ministers, who have been playing down the impact of soaring oil prices, expressed concern yesterday that the rise could dampen global economic activity and undermine Japan's recovery if it was sustained.
“If it's a short-term rise, the economy can deal with it,” Economics and Financial Services Minister Heizo Takenaka told a news conference.
