Proton Holdings Bhd will select a foreign partner by the year-end to help it compete without government support, the company’s special adviser, former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, said.
“They should be able to identify a good partner,” Dr Mahathir, 78, said in an interview at his office in Putrajaya. “There is scope for Proton to avail itself of new technologies, management and marketing.”
