UEM BUILDERS BHD recorded an increase pre-tax profit of RM36.6mil in the second quarter ended June 30 from RM3.88mil in the same period last year. Revenue increased to RM346mil from RM32.6mil.  

Earnings per share increased to 2.6 sen from 0.2 sen last year. For the first six months of this year, the company registered a higher pre-tax profit of RM86.2mil from RM19.9mil on turnover of RM667.2mil. – Bernama 

SILVERSTONE CORP BHD charted a pre-tax profit of RM54.9mil in the fourth quarter ended June 30 from a pre-tax loss of RM40.2mil in the same period last year. Revenue was reduced to RM132.14mil from RM162.11mil previously. Earnings per share rose to 15.58 sen from a 7.65 sen loss per share last year. For the year ended June 30, the company posted a pre-tax loss of RM31.7mil from a profit of RM67.4mil in 2003. Turnover reached RM552.95mil from RM478.63mil previously. – Bernama  

SUNCHIRIN INDUSTRIES (M) BHD's pre-tax profit for the second quarter ended June 30 increased to RM857,000 from RM808,000 in the previous corresponding quarter.  

However, its revenue fell to RM20.93mil from RM26.21mil. 

For the half-year ended June 30, its pre-tax profit decreased to RM72,000 from RM1.45mil in the same period last year. Its revenue declined to RM41.33mil from RM48.32mil. – Bernama 

TRUTECH HOLDINGS BHD's pre-tax loss for the second quarter ended June 30, increased to RM2.52mil from RM2.47mil in the previous corresponding quarter. Its revenue decreased to RM28.29mil from RM101.38mil. 

For the half-year ended June 30, its pre-tax loss was RM5.42mil, down from RM6.04mil in the previous corresponding period. Revenue fell to RM79.68mil from RM196.67mil. – Bernama 

MBM Resources Bhd said its pre-tax profit for the second quarter ended June 30 dropped to RM12.95mil from RM32.9mil in the previous corresponding quarter. 

Its revenue rose to RM220.02mil from RM212.02mil. 

For the half-year ended June 30, its pre-tax profit dropped to RM25.12mil from RM60.86mil in the same period last year. Its revenue increased to RM396.33mil from RM392.07mil. – Bernama 

Abric Bhd recorded a pre-tax profit of RM426,000 in the second quarter ended June 30, a turnaround from pre-tax loss of RM2.57mil in the previous corresponding quarter. 

Its revenue increased to RM8.72mil from RM6.45mil. 

For the half-year ended June 30, its pre-tax profit was RM730,000, reversing the pre-tax loss of RM6.25mil in the previous year. Its revenue rose to RM17.13mil from RM12.75mil. – Bernama 

Acoustech Bhd said its pre-tax profit in the first quarter ended June 30 increased to RM6.75mil from RM4.51mil in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year. Its revenue increased to RM65.46mil from RM53.7mil. – Bernama 

TRADEWINDS (MALAYSIA) BHD registered a higher pre-tax profit of RM25mil in the second quarter ended June 30, compared with RM24mil in the same period of last year. Revenue was up at RM219mil from RM198mil. – Bernama 

HALIM MAZMIN BHD recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM12mil in the second quarter ended June 30, against a pre-tax profit of RM4mil posted in the same period of last year. Revenue increased to RM34mil from RM32mil. – Bernama 

Supermax Corp Bhd registered a higher pre-tax profit of RM6.5mil in the second quarter ended June 30, against a pre-tax profit of RM4.6mil in the same period last year. Turnover added to RM49mil from RM32mil. – Bernama 

KSL HOLDINGS posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM29mil in the second quarter ended June 30, against a pre-tax gain of RM23.4mil posted in the same period of last year. Revenue increased to RM75mil from RM53.9mil. – Bernama 

Public Packages Holdings Bhd posted an improved pre-tax profit of RM175,000 in the second quarter ended June 30, 2004 versus a pre-tax gain of RM101,000 registered in the same quarter of last year. Turnover rose to RM29.4mil from RM28.6mil. – Bernama 

PCCS Group Bhd registered an increased pre-tax gain of RM4mil in the first quarter ended June 30, against RM3.8mil in the same quarter of last year. Turnover improved to RM109mil from RM74mil. – Bernama 

FA PENINSULAR BHD posted an improved pre-tax profit of RM2.8mil in the first quarter ended June 30, from a pre-tax loss of RM293,000 in the same quarter of last year. Turnover, slipped to RM558,000 from RM716,000. – Bernama 

SBBS CONSORTIUM BHD has reported lower pre-tax profit of RM420,000 for the half-year ended June 30, compared with RM1.42mil in the same period last year. 

Revenue fell to RM40.83mil from RM64.37mil previously. – Bernama  

UNITED BINTANG BHD has recorded pre-tax loss of RM1.2mil for the half-year ended June 30, compared with RM1.22mil in the same period last year. 

Revenue was lower at RM14mil against RM15.9mil previously. – Bernama 

Johore Tin Bhd has charted a pre-tax profit of RM4.33mil for the half-year ended June 30, while revenue stood at RM41.43mil. – Bernama  

White Horse Bhd has announced a jump in pre-tax profit of RM37.75mil for the half-year ended June 30 from RM20.5mil in the same period last year. 

The profit was achieved on revenue of RM195.76mil against RM140.04mil previously. – Bernama 

AMANAH SMALLCAP FUND BHD has reported lower pre-tax profit of RM4.24mil for the half-year ended June 30, compared with RM38.65mil in the same period last year. 

Revenue stood at RM7.86mil against RM8.85mil previously. – Bernama 

Hup Seng Industries Bhd has recorded lower pre-tax profit of RM5.21mil for the half-year ended June 30 from RM10.67mil in the same period last year. 

Revenue was higher at RM91.02mil against RM85.95mil previously. – Bernama
