SMART card technology solutions provider Iris Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd has signed a technology licence agreement with Sun Microsystems, Inc for the development of e-Identification (e-ID) and e-Passport solutions based on Java Card technology that can be deployed worldwide.
Managing director Datuk Tan Say Jim said in a statement the agreement would bring Iris, now ranked the 11th largest card manufacturer worldwide and leading player in Asia, to the next phase of its expansion plan.
