MRCB shares rise on news of highway contract award


SHARES in Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) closed 1.5 sen or 2% higher at 71.5 sen yesterday amid light bargain-hunting on news that a consortium, in which the company holds a 30% stake, has signed an agreement with the Government to build a new highway in Kuala Lumpur for RM1.166bil. 

Konsortium Lebuhraya Utara Timur Sdn Bhd (Kesturi) was awarded a 34-year concession for the 18km KL North-East Expressway (KLNEE) at a signing ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
