MITV Corp Sdn Bhd, the operator of Malaysia's second pay television which is slated for a soft launch in October, will embark on a vigorous marketing campaign to promote the station by the 4th quarter this year.

The campaign was aimed at building the initial subscriber base for the TV station, which was on track to roll out its targeted 50-odd channels in October, chief operating officer Jonathan Chan said in Kuala Lumpur yesterday after the signing of an agreement between MiTV and MediaCorp News, the owner and manager of Channel NewsAsia.
