SMALL-CAP stocks may gain greater interest from the investing public should a programme that pays broking houses to conduct research on the companies involved materialise.
The proposed programme is said to mirror the SGX-MAS Research Incentive Scheme in Singapore, under which at least two research firms are paid to cover a publicly listed company and make their research reports available on the Singapore Exchange website.
