FEDERAL Land Development Authority (Felda) is investing RM3mil over three years on joint research and development aimed at maximising the commercial potential of oil palm waste and palm oil effluent (POME).
Felda yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Japan-based Kyushu Institute of Technology (KIT) for R&D initially aimed at treating oil palm waste and palm oil effluent and reducing the greenhouse effect.
