Viztel debuts at 61 sen on Mesdaq for 74% premium

TELECOMMUNICATIONS software developer Viztel Solutions Bhd made a strong debut on Bursa Malaysia yesterday. The Mesdaq-listed counter opened at 61 sen for a 74% premium over its initial public offer (IPO) price of 35 sen.  

The stock surged to a day high of 89.5 sen – 156% higher than its IPO price – in the last 30 minutes of trading before slipping back slightly to close at 87.5 sen. About 11.5 million shares changed hands, making it the third most active counter of the day.
