Hong Leong Bank doubles IT budget

Hong Leong Bank Bhd has doubled its budget on information technology (IT) expenditure this year to 8% of the bank's total profits, compared with previous years, said information services division general manager Ho Choon Gai.  

The higher allocation, which totalled “tens of millions” of ringgit, was aimed at enhancing customer service level, allowing more future product offerings, as well as pushing up its operational efficiency and risk management capabilities to higher levels, he said.
