SINGAPORE: In the face of increasing competition, Valuair, Singapore's first budget airline, said on Monday it plans to launch a series of regional tours that incorporate short holidays – and surgery.
Twelve people have already paid S$3,800 (US$2,218) for Valuair's maiden medical tour to Bangkok at the end of this month, said Kenneth Wong, the director of Meditour, which is jointly organising the tours.
