THE KL Composite Index (KLCI) yesterday climbed to an eight-week high of 828 points, up 8.24 points or 1%, supported by buying from local institutional investors.
Dealers said some local fund managers, who had launched new funds in past months, were nibbling at selected blue chips to accumulate for their portfolios.
