Expand in Indian market, construction firms urged

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian companies should focus on the infrastructure and construction sector in India following their acceptance in the highway sector, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) outgoing director-general Tarun Das said here.

“Malaysian companies are already well known in the highway construction in India. They have captured 25% of the business there. Their reputation and credibility is well established and they should venture into other areas of construction,” he said in an interview.
